Barranquilla was chosen as cultural capital due to all this cohesion there are around culture, also because of the positivism and the international projection Barranquilla has.

Of course, this recognition will allow the city to promote itself internationally and people all around the world will see Barranquilla as a cultural city, as a beautiful city and maybe people would like to visit us, so we can be benefited economically by tourists.
